Malling is used here to describe the group of 10 parishes around West Malling, Kent, South East England (see ref)
West Malling is an historic mediaeval market town based in West Kent, with a hinterland consisting of the parishes of Addington, Birling, East Malling and Larkfield, Kings Hill, Leybourne, Mereworth, Offham, Ryarsh, and Trottiscliffe.
It is this area which was the subject of Malling Action Partnership's Market Towns Initiative 'health check' (2006-2008) and subsequent Action plan.
