The idea of Transition Towns originated in Kinsale, (Ireland),Totnes, Stroud and Lewes (UK) and is spreading to include cities - Bristol, (South West England), and Brixton, in London. According to Transition Town Brixton, "A Transition Town is a space where people have taken control over the changes that will need to happen - to make the transition to low carbon future.
